Louis van Gaal confirmed to MUTV he has spoken to Radamel Falcao about the striker's exclusion from the Southampton match - but the boss naturally declined to reveal his selection plans for Saturday’s trip to Queens Park Rangers.
"I have spoken to him but I always speak with the players, I am a good communicator, so that is not a big exception," the manager explained in his weekly interview with
MUTV.
"But of course he was not in the squad, so then you talk more with this kind of player because for them it is a big disappointment.
"I wanted to explain what he has to do in the future and that I have done."
When asked if the Colombian will be recalled at Loftus Road, the boss kept all his cards close to his chest and told MUTV's Stewart Gardner:
"You will have to wait and see, like every journalist."
